I have loved photography for a long time. I took courses in high school and college and even worked for a wedding photographer after graduating from Stetson University in 2005. However, a lot of what I have learned about photography has been from hands on experience and making mistakes. With the desire to be a stay at home mom and be with my babies while they are young, I decided to resign from teaching and be a stay at home mom/photographer after teaching at the Community School of Naples for 5 years.
I am photographer and I love what I do, but I am also a wife and mother. I grew up in Naples and live locally with my amazingly supportive husband, Chris, and our two crazy kiddos, Michael and Maryn. My goal is to make time in my life for all of the things that are important to me. I have an amazing support group that allows me to work when clients need me and to be home most of the day with my little ones. This being said, sometimes it may take me a few hours to get back to you! Talking on the phone is a luxury these days and texts/emails are sometimes your best bet in reaching me.
It is my mission to capture the memories that you and your families are making amidst the chaos of everyday “life.” I believe that through my photographs, I can provide you with a visual history that will always help you remember the way things are right now, because after all... it won’t be like this for long. Your little munchkin won’t ever be so tiny, your toddler won’t always want to sit in your lap, your seven year old may be too embarrased to hold your hand in a few years, and your teenager may soon be out of the house! Cherish the time that you have with the ones you love.
My style tends to be traditional in nature, but I always try to capture the natural moments in between shots when people are just being real. Sometimes my favorite images from a session are the ones that capture the idosyncricies that make each of us unique. From newborns to couples that have been married for 50 years, I would love to help you and your loved ones capture your "memories in the making" with photographs.
All of my images are captured in full color and can later be converted to black and white, sepia, or other tones! Special effects can be added and retouching those pesky imperfections is always an option.
